Summer is Coming to an End...

With summer coming to an end I realized we never got out Griffin's bug viewer to catch bugs for him to feed and learn about. Subconsciously I probably meant to keep it in storage. However, today we saw a grasshopper on my car and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I caught it all by myself, after a few screams, and Griffin has loved giving him "food" and watching him hop.

St Mary's Festival 2010

Daniel and Griffin rode with their hands up!

Just chewing on the bottle...don't worry :)

Hanging Around Home

Getting a piggy back ride from big brother. Can you tell she loves it?

Rockstar raking the grass.

Big enough for the highchair now!
Scott and I have been busy painting this weekend (I am pretty sure 90% of this house has been painted in a 5 month period) so we have been hanging out around home. G and Annabel have gotten a cold so it was probably for the best anyway.

5 Months Old!

e
Annabel turns 5 months old today and she is still the sweetest, most laid back, happy baby ever. She has started a new thing where she coughs for attention. She does it, laughs, looks at us, waits for us to do it back and then does it again. She has been eating rice cereal for a couple weeks now but just recently started enjoying it and actually opening her mouth for it.

Glenwood Gardens

Checking out the fish

Eating "just picked" tomatoes

We hiked out to Glenwood Gardens this morning to try and beat the heat and rain. We beat the rain...not the heat. It was such a cute place for little kids to explore and we were able to for about an hour and a half before we thought we might melt away.

A Slice of Heaven for Griffin

Coastie, the talking tugboat, who Griffin had a full conversation with. Coastie was operated by someone behind a tree and although he was hesitant at first he opened right up to her:)

Using the walkie-talkies on the police "search and recovery" boat.

Annabel's serious face

We battled the 95 degree weather to go to the Police National Night Out at a park right down the street from our house. Have I mentioned how much I love this area? Griffin was in heaven with all the machines, trucks, and cars that you could get in and check out. There was free food and drinks and a live band and hundreds of kids having a blast. It was worth the heat for sure.

Bike Rides

Scott got a new trailer for his bike for Father's Day and Griffin loved it. He even put his hands up like he was riding a roller coaster on the way to Grammy's house.

Our New Kitchen!!!

Still needs some counter stools for the peninsula and we are putting in a glass tile backsplash but for the most part it is done...ahhhhhhh.

New Things

r
Annabel has started (almost) sitting. She uses her arms for support but still pretty impressive for a 4 month old. Griffin has started shaving. That's not a real razor but still pretty impressive for a two year old :)

Skye's 1st Birthday Party

Enjoying some cotton candy

Swimming by himself

Getting a balloon doggie

Getting a garbage truck painted on his arm

Dad pushing Griffin down the slip-n-slide

New development...scared of ponies. He kept saying "Bite me" :)

Too much fun!
We went to our good friends', Ashlee and Alex, daughter's 1st birthday party today. Griffin had a blast and Annabel screamed (her new thing) at everyone, then fell asleep poolside. It was possibly the coolest birthday party we have been to... ever!
