The Gunderson Cousins

My favorite thing about these pictures is that they are all together. Coming in a close second is the way Griffin looks at Noah. He loves that little guy.

Gunderson Family Easter

Gavin only collected about 5 eggs as he had to eat them as he collected them!

Annabel looking for eggs in the neighbor's yard

Scott thought he found another Easter egg, tried to open it, it exploded and he realized it was a baby robin's egg. We weren't sure what to think of that on Easter Sunday :)

Zoo Blooms Photo Shoot

We had Griffin's 3 year and Annabel's 1 year photos taken at the zoo a couple weeks ago, during the beautiful tulip display. They turned out really well and both kids were really good for the pictures, which I always get stressed out for. Making sure both are well rested, well fed, clean and happy can be a daunting task...but they were troopers. Griffin was a complete ham and even got serious-faced Annabel to smile a lot. These are just SOME of our favorites.

Nothing Sweeter

Nothing is sweeter than two sleeping babies. (And, I do know Griffin is almost 3!) I love his arms-outstretched pose and her hands-behind-the-head pose.

Mariemont Easter Egg Hunt

Although the weather wasn't the best, Griffin and Annabel still had a great time. Annabel did NOT like the Easter Bunny but she LOVED the lamb, goat, pig and chicks. Every time we walked away from the petting zoo area she went right back to it. Griffin LOVED hunting for the eggs and all the candy he got from it (even though half was taken away because of his peanut allergy).

Talking on the phone

Griffin has reached the age where he knows how to hold a true conversation on the phone with someone and hold the phone all by himself. This was just in time for Scott to go out of town again this week. Have I mentioned how much more respect I have for single mothers? :) We are so excited he is back. Just in time for an Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow!
BTW- the second picture is of Griffin tickling Scott through the phone. Pretty cute.

Warm Spring Night

We went to Ault Park to enjoy the beautiful weather

She has quit walking everywhere and now runs!

Annabel is ALWAYS trying to keep up with her brother, even up really steep hills.

This is the new smile we get when we tell him to pose

Annabel had fallen so Griffin pretended to fall to get her to laugh instead of cry. Just another example of how sweet he is to her.

Showing her how to throw pennies in the water

Leaving the Zoo

We went to the zoo today to have Griffin's 3 yr and Annabel's 1 yr professional pictures taken with the beautiful flowers that are in bloom. We also had time to have a picnic lunch and see lots of animals. I can't wait to see the pictures, I think she got some really good ones. Griffin was such a ham and he also got Annabel to giggle a lot. I took out my camera after we left and got some pics of my own:)

Cousin Noah

p
Griffin and Annabel got to meet their cousin, Noah, for the first time last night. He is already 3 weeks old but Annabel has been sick so we had held off on seeing him. Annabel just stared at him but was okay when I held him. Griffin wanted to hold him and asked if he could spend the night over with us. I told him that maybe he could come for sleepover in a couple years :) We can't wait to add cousin Gavin to the mix in two weeks!

Beautiful

This is what a beautiful "non-reaction" looks like for allergy testing. I have never been so happy to see such a sight and it was on little Annabel. We knew she was 2x more likely than the typical child to have allergies since she has a parent and a sibling with allergies and asthma so we went into this praying like crazy. Its not that we don't know how to handle life-threatening allergies its that now we won't have to worry about Annabel. Preschool won't cause us extra stress, birthday parties won't cause us extra stress and she won't have to carry a life saving Epi-pen everywhere she goes. Her big brother Griffin knows this route all too well and was the first to say "Yay" when we found out she wasn't allergic to anything. Thank you, God.
