New Hat

Grandma bought Annabel a new hat. She left it on for a record 4 minutes yesterday so I took some pictures.

Fun at Recreations Outlet

Since it is snowing/raining/freezing during my Spring Break the kids and I have stayed busy at the museum, Recreations Outlet and going to the library. These pictures are from Recreations Outlet. Grandma came with us and had just as much fun as the kids, I think. You can see her on the trampoline behind Griffin's trampoline.

Mariemont Tulips

We drive by these flowers all the time and Griffin always comments how "There are sooooo many flowers!" so we stopped today to check them out. He ended up having a lot more fun throwing sticks that Annabel collected for him. She would pick them up, walk over to him, hand them over, he would say "thankyou", and she would go get another. I couldn't get either to smile as I think they were just trying to stay warm in this freezing weather. Sorry for the lack of blog posts lately. Annabel has been sick and Scott has been out of town. Life has been busy but I am on Spring Break this week so we have been having lots of fun!

Double Ear Infection

When Annabel went to her 1yr appt we found out she had a double ear infection. It would have been nice if she had pulled at her ears a lot, ran a fever, got fussy or lost sleep in order to let me know before the doctor just happened to look in her ears :) Either way, she must have lost some sleep with this infection because she has been waking up and falling back asleep in our arms all the time now since she started some antibiotics.

Noah Jeffrey Gunderson

Griffin and Annabel added cousin number 4 to their list yesterday with the happy birth of Noah. Amazing mom, Eva, went through 26 hours of labor but the product was sure worth it. I got to meet him yesterday and he is simply perfect. I couldn't be more proud of Patrick and Eva and Griffin and Annabel are so excited to meet their new cousin. He came into this world weighing 7lbs 14 oz and 20 inches and I think he looks just like his mom (minus the cheeks, those are all Patrick).

Fish Pond

I remember throwing pennies in the fish pond at the Hyde Park Library when I was younger. Griffin and Annabel must have thrown a couple dollars worth in about 20 minutes last weekend. And, yes, Annabel threw them just like her big brother.

Griffin at his Happiest

Griffin LOVES making fires with Papa. When we used to live with my parents he would build a fire with my dad almost every night during the winter. He still loves it now.

Never too Far

Annabel never wants to be too far from her brother. Even when he is doing his breathing treatments 2x/day she is right by his side. If you take her away she gets pretty upset.

Grandma has been Shopping

Annabel got a new jean dress from grandma. It's too cold to wear it outside so we did a photo shoot inside. Posing was completely voluntary.

So Proud

As a literacy support teacher I can't help but be proud of my 11 month old when she brings me a book and points to the rocking chair or my 2 1/2 yr old when he is able to identify almost all his letters and put them in the correct order by making an "ABC choo choo", pretty much independently. Just a couple weeks ago he said "Look, mommy. That says "S" "T" "O" "P", Stop!" He read his first word other than his name and I am not sure I have ever been more proud :)
