Mariemont holds a National Night Out with free food, drinks and tons of rescue service vehicles. We went last week and Griffin couldn't have been more excited!

My cousin, Amity, has been in town for the past couple days with her husband and son, Carson. We have had lots of fun with him...playing at grandma's and going to a playground with him. He has such a sweet disposition!

Columbus Trip

We went to Columbus for the weekend to meet up with my two old college roommates from Miami. Maria, Erica and I have stayed close friends since college and were very excited to get together to see each other and let the kids have fun together. We went out to eat, went to COSI and swam in the hotel pool A LOT! Here are some pics of the kids at the museum.

First Soccer Camp

At his first soccer camp Griffin learned how to dribble the ball, do toe-taps, shoot goals, play tons of fun skill games and he even made a really good friend named JB. His mommy learned not to give up after a very BAD first day (refusal to go on the field, a few meltdowns and a firm belief that soccer was not fun at all). By the last day he was having a blast.

Zoo Trip with the Kimes

We got to meet up with Maria and her adorable children at the zoo today. Although our hands were full with 5 children and it was pretty hot, we all managed to have a fun time. Griffin and Will are pretty close in age and Annabel and Andrew are pretty close in age so I am excited to see how all our future get-togethers turn out. We actually get to spend a whole weekend with them in a couple weeks when we are doing a weekend-away to visit another "Miami roommate" in Columbus.

Last lunch in Florida

We had such an amazing time in Florida this year and this is a picture of Griffin and Annabel eating lunch on the last day. If the picture was better you would be able to tell that the background is all ocean, horizon and sky. We miss it already. Thanks great grandma and grandpa Gunderson!

First Fireworks

At three years old Griffin was finally able to mae it up untill 11 PM to see the fireworks. I stayed home with Annabel who went to bed and he went with Scott and Pam to see the fireworks in Mariemont. He said, "They were loud, so I covered my ears".

We got to go out to dinner tonight with our friend, Bing. He is very good friends with my grandparents and he invited us to a wonderful Italian dinner out, on him. The food was delicious and company was even better. Thanks Bing!
