Mariemont's Easter Egg Hunt

How Adelyn spent the hunt!

Somebody ate way tooooo much chocolate!

During the parade, they both held onto the stroller the entire time, like they couldn't leave their baby sisters' side.

The Creek

Scott has been volunteering to help clear paths for mountain biking in the southern 80 acres of Mariemont. We also purchased a plot of land for gardening there and the kids got to see the creek there for the first time yesterday. They loved being outside in this weather! Can you spot the snake?

The Sienna

I love our minivan!

Adelyn's First Bath

Started off with a cry and ended in amazement!

Annabel is 2!

She put on EVERY gift she got (earrings, necklaces, beauty shop aprons, tutus, bows, sunglasses, etc) and loved every second of it.

Adelyn Jane Lyons

Baby Adelyn Jane Lyons was forced to finally join us 10 days past her due date, on March 9th, 2012. The labor was fairly easy and progressed quickly until the pushing stage where we found out she was "sunny-side-up", facing the wrong way and therefore close to impossible to push out! After trying for an hour and a half on my own (pushing during contrax can sometimes turn them), the doctor tried to manually turn her during contractions for about 30 minutes which also didn't work. Then it was onto forceps which eventually did the trick, thank goodness because our next option was a C-section. You can see her little scratches from the forceps, which will go away in a couple days. This little girl was really happy in there!
She came in at a whopping 8 lbs 13 oz which is huge for our family of 6 lb 14 ozers. She feels like a one month old to us! She was born at 4:03 PM and was 21 inches long. She is already an expert nurser and when not nursing loves to put her fists in her mouth. She has really only cried once (right after being born) and was awake for the majority of her first 12 hrs and has been asleep for the majority of the last 12 hrs :)
She looks more like her big brother than her big sister, we think, but its hard to tell with the extra chunk the other two didn't have. She also has the cutest skinny little long feet and very DARK hair on her head.

We are always amazed how much you can love a little being you have only just met but its hard not to when she is simply perfect.

Worms!

Annabel loves worms just as much as her big brother
