Dang Allergies

We have always said Griffin will probably grow up to be a builder/architect/engineer of some sort because of his obsession with building. On the other hand, we would be shocked if Annabel didn't grow up to do something with animals. She loves them and unfortunately for her she is growing up in a family with horse, cat and dog allergies, so animals aren't usually around. Not just the itchy eyes kind or allergies, but the trouble breathing kind. We did eventually go outside and pet this cute cat (who then meowed outside our house for 4 hours) and promptly washed our hands. They both have colds right now and this may have been the only part of the day she was truly happy :)

Just Like Momma

Micah's Birthday Party

Griffin has become friends with a little boy named Micah through a playgroup we are in. Micah has come over several times to play on the weekends and we see him every week for playgroup. Yesterday we got to go to Micah's pirate-themed birthday party and the kids had a blast. Annabel wasn't 100% sure about the "real pirate" as you can see by her face in the one picture but the plank-walking, cake eating, parrot-feather decorating and warm-weather to play outside with a million kids made up for it :)

Helpful (?) Big Brother

Griffin told me he could push Annabel on the bike today because he said my belly was too big. So sweet! Until I started wondering why he was laughing so hard...he was pushing her right towards the hill that leads to a rusty old fence.

New Sand

Someone is very happy to have some fresh sand for his trucks in the sandbox!

Princess "Bells"

She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled for about 4 minutes straight.

Bye Bye "Night Night"

Annabel calls her pacifier her "night night" because she has only gotten it when she goes to sleep. Saturday night she discovered her "night night" had a "boo boo" so she took it to the garbage can and said bye bye without even trying to suck on it. It seemed too easy, but so far she has been great about it. She gets a little dramatic about it (insert sad face, high pitched whine and lots of talk about night nights, boo boos and oh no's) but so far has slept just fine without it. Hoping new baby girl likes a different kind if pacifier so that Annabel doesn't become a snatcher in a few weeks :)

Valentine Dance

Our preschool group hosted their annual Valentine Dance tonight at the Rec Center. Balloon popping, bracelet making, cookie eating/decorating, running around like monkeys and best of all hanging with many good friends we have met over the 2 years we have now lived in one of the best communities in the city.

Morning Surprise!

We have gotten snow two times in the past few days here in Cincy and although they haven't been more than inch we still spend time outside sliding down hills on our butts (b/c mom can't pull a sled in her 9 mo pregnant condition) and going for "snow walks" around the neighborhood.
